Merrimack Blanks Dominican, 3-0

Blauvelt, NY (10/10/05) Merrimack College blanked Dominican College (5-8-1), 3-0 in a non-conference game held at Dominican College this afternoon.

The Warriors struck early as Hillary McGarr (North Dighton, MA) netted a goal off the assist by McKenzie Hogan (Glastonbury, CT) at 9:46. Merrimack would net another goal at 36:24 by freshman Alaina Mitrano (Medford, MA) to end the first half.

Senior Lindsay Sheffield (Georgetown, MA) scored the last goal of the game at 48:32.

Dominican used two keepers in the game, Allison Comentino (Ellenville, NY) who had four saves in 45:00 and Sara Cordaro (Poughkeepsie, NY) who had five saves in the second half.

The Lady Chargers are back in action on Wednesday, October 12 as they travel to CACC foe Georgian Court University for a 3pm game.
