DOMINICAN'S CORREIA NAMED WOMEN'S SOCCER PLAYER OF THE
WEEK

New Haven, CT (10/15/07) Angela Correia of Dominican College has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Women's Soccer Player of the Week for the week ending Sunday, Oct. 14. Amy Van Blarcom of Georgian Court has garnered Rookie of the Week honors.
Correia, a junior forward from Elizabeth, NJ, scored three
goals and added one assist in a 2-0 week for the Lady Chargers. She
had two goals and an assist against Bloomfield and scored once at
Goldey-Beacom.
Van Blarcom, a freshman forward from Glen Rock, NJ, registered three goals and one assist in two games for the Lions. She netted her second hat trick of the season at Goldey-Beacom and assisted on the game-winner against Queens.
Honorable Mention
Dana DePalma, Georgian Court (So., M, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) - Tallied three goals in a 2-0 week, including the game-winner vs. Queens.
Kaitlin Gavaghan, Holy Family (Sr., M, Philadelphia, PA) - Tallied two goals in a 1-1 week for the Tigers. Scored twice at Nyack.
Christine Warren, Felician (Sr., F, Hasbrouck Heights, NJ) - Dished out three assists in a victory over Chestnut Hill.
CACC Notes
Felician - Felician's 33 goals this season are the program's most since 2003 (38). The Golden Falcons' 5-0 victory over Chestnut Hill on Saturday was their first shutout of the season and the sixth in the career of junior GK Amanda Musarra.
Georgian Court - Georgian Court is currently on a six game winning streak. This streak is the longest for the Lions since becoming an NCAA member. Their 11 victories this season ties the school record for wins that was set in 2006.
Philadelphia - Philadelphia University Head Women's Soccer Coach
George Dunbar earned his 100th career collegiate victory in the
Lady Rams' 3-0 win over Post University at home on October 13th.
