LADY CHARGERS SOCCER RALLY TO UPEND CHESTNUT HILL COLLEGE

Philadelphia, PA (10/4/08)  The Dominican College Lady Chargers soccer team rallied from a 2-1 deficit with two goals in the second half to upend host Chestnut Hill College, 3-2 in a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) women's soccer game this afternoon.

Chestnut Hill got on the board in the 6th minute of action as Tara Morey netted her sixth goal of the season off the pass by Lauren Riif.

Dominican tied the game as sophomore Margaret Porter (Neptune, NJ) converted a penalty kick in the 22nd minute of action.

Less then a minute later the Griffins took a 2-1 lead as Tiffanie Stanton netted a goal off the pass by Riif.

DC rallied in the final three minutes of the game as midfielder Sierra Kader (Bethany, CT) scored her first goal of the season off the dish by Porter.  With 31 seconds left in regulation Porter netted the game winner off the pass by senior Erin Martin (Stony Point, NY).

With the win Dominican improves to 4-6-1 overall and 3-1-1 in the CACC, while Chestnut Hill falls to 4-6-0 overall and 1-3-0 in the CACC.

Dominican is back in action on Tuesday when they host Post University in a CACC women's soccer game.  Game time is 3:30 pm on the DC Soccer Field.
