LADY CHARGERS PUSH WINNING STREAK TO 10 ON SENIOR DAY
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/23/26) The Dominican University New York women's lacrosse team extended their winning streak to 10 games after defeating Caldwell University in CACC action on O'Brien Field.
The Lady Chargers, #19 in the IWLCA poll and #4 in the NCAA DII East Region, improve to 12-3 overall and 8-0 in the CACC.
Prior to today's game the Lady Chargers held a ceremony honoring their five graduating seniors. Dominican recognized seniors: Jenna Rigo, Madelyn Grella, Emily Sheridan, Savannah Eichert, and Rylie McGhan who were joined by their friends and family during the festivities.
Lady Charger goalkeeper Daniela Parisi picked up her 12th win on the season in net.
Dominican led 3-2 after the first quarter, but their offense caught fire in the second shutting out the Cougars 7-0 anf finished the half with a 10-2 lead.
The Lady Chargers scored six total goals in the second half on their way to the 16-2 win.
Freshman Dani Cox scored a career high five goals in the win while Madison Mileti also scored five goals while picking up a team-high four assists for nine points. Mileti also picked up four groundballs and five draw controls.
Alexa Preston scored three times and dished out two assists. Kate Frae, Leila Paz, and Payton LaVallee each added one goal.
Senior Jenna Rigo picked up a career high seven groundballs while adding seven caused turnovers which matches a career high. Emily Murtha caused four turnovers.
The Lady Chargers wrap up the regular season on the road on Saturday when they visit Georgian Court University.
