LADY CHARGERS UPEND LIONS IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE
Lakewood, N.J. (4/25/26) The Dominican University New York women's lacrosse team completed the 2026 regular season with a 9-4 win over the Lions of Georgian Court University this afternoon.
The Lady Chargers, #19 in the IWLCA and #4 in the NCAA DII East Region, finishes the regular season with an overall record of 13-3 and a CACC record of 9-0. Dominican secures the regular season championship title and the #1 seed in the upcoming CACC Championship Tournament. This is the fourth straight year the Lady Chargers secured the #1 seed and regular season championship.
Dominican jumped out in front to an early 3-0 lead after the first quarter of play. Each team only scored once in the second, Jill Konschak got GCU on the board before Dani Cox scored her second of the game as the Lady Chargers took a 4-1 lead into halftime.
Michaela Scirrotto cut the DU lead to 4-2 before Madison Mileti scored back to back goals and then assisted the third goal of the game by Cox.
Mileti added two more goals in the fourth quarter to help secure the 9-4 victory.
Mileti finished with five goals and two assists while picking up eight draw controls. Cox picked up a hat trick and Alyssa Kromer found the back of the net one time.
Emily Murtha picked up three groundballs while goalkeeper Daniela Parisi made six saves and also added three groundballs.
Savannah Eichert and Kate Frae each caused three turnovers.
Jenna Rigo led the team in groundballs with five and caused turnovers with four. After today's game, Rigo now holds the program record for career groundballs.
The Lady Chargers have earned a bye into the CACC Semifinals which they will host on Thursday, April 30th on O'Brien Field. Opponent and time are TBD.
