LADY CHARGERS VOLLEYBALL SWEEP FELICIAN COLLEGE

Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/28/12) The Dominican College women's volleyball team improved to 6-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play and 10-7 overall as they swept the visiting Golden Falcons of Felician College, 3-0, this evening in a CACC match played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/28/12)  The Dominican College women's volleyball team improved to 6-0 in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) play and 10-7 overall as they swept the visiting Golden Falcons of Felician College, 3-0, this evening in a CACC match played on Coach Baxter Court at the Hennessy Center.

Dominican topped Felician 25-20 in set one after startings things off with a 9-3 lead.  DC once again jumped out to a lead in set two at 9-4 and cruised to the 25-16 win. 

Set three saw the Golden Falcons take an early 3-0 lead but the Lady Chargers rallied with the next seven consecutive points for the 7-3 advantage en route to the 25-13 win and 3-0 match victory.

Senior Courtney Heard (Ventura, Calif.) led the team with 12 kills.

Setter Whitney Ranger* (Ventura, Calif.) had 20 assists, while Amanda Hallstein (Holtsville, N.Y.) had nine assists.

Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, N.Y.) led three Lady Chargers in double digits in defensive digs with 14.  Libero Jordyn Fuller* (Keller, Texas) had 13 digs, while N'Jameh Philip (Monroe, N.Y.) had 11 digs.

DC is back inaction tomorrow as they travel to Philadelphia University in a CACC contest.
