#8 WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL FALL TO #1 UNIVERSITY OF NEW HAVEN IN NCAA EAST REGION QUARTERFINAL

(11/29/12) The eighth-seeded Dominican College women's volleyball team fell to the top-seeded Chargers from the University of New Haven, 3-0, this evening in a NCAA East Region Quarterfinal match held at Charger Gymnasium on the campus of the University of New Haven. With the loss Dominican ends their season with a 26-8 overall record.

UNH took the match by scores of 25-14, 25-21 and 25-16 to advance to the semifinals against the fourth-seeded Bears from New York Institute of Technology.
Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Rookie of the Year, Tori Dexter (Selah, Wash.) led the Lady Chargers with 10 kills in the match and added seven defensive digs.
Senior setter Whitney Ranger* (Ventura, Calif.) had a team leading 20 assists.
Libero Jordyn Fuller* (Keller, Texas) had a match leading 19 defensive digs in the loss.
Senior Michelle Fiorvanti (Commack, N.Y.) tallied five kills and five digs.
Kristen Loney* (Pine Bush, N.Y.) and Randi Garrett (Rockledge, Fla.) each led Dominican with three blocks a-piece.
