SETTERS RALLY TO DEFEAT LADY CHARGERS
Orangeburg, N.Y. (9/19/25) The Dominican University New York women's volleyball team dropped their home opener in non-conference action to Pace University on Coach Baxter Court in the Hennessy Center.
The Setters fell behind 1-0 after the opening set but rallied to win three straight sets which included a third set rally after trailing 10-3. The Setters secured the 3-1 victory.
The Lady Chargers three game winning streak comes to an end as they fall to 3-5 overall while the Setters improve to 6-1.
The Lady Chargers were led by Alexandria De Iasi who picked up 15 kills while also adding three block assists for 16.5 points. Savannah Tody added a team-high five blocks which included four block assists. Tody also recorded 11 kills for 15 points.
Haile Comeau had 10 digs while Gabriella Broadus picked up nine digs. Setter Kaeden Sanstead recorded a match-high 34 assists.
Pace was led by Jaliyah Johnson who recorded 11 kills. Kadence Ackmann picked up a team-high 11 digs. Aralyn Saulys led the way in assists for the Setters with 19.
The Lady Chargers will look to bounce back on Tuesday night when they open conference play at home against the University of Bridgeport at 7:00 PM in the Hennessy Center.
