RAMS BEST LADY CHARGERS IN FIVE SETS
Philadelphia, Pa. (11/8/25) The Dominican University New York women's volleyball team fell in conference action to the Rams of Thomas Jefferson University this afternoon in a match played at the Gallagher Athletic Center.
The Rams completed the comeback victory as they won sets four and five to improve to 10-12 overall and 6-7 in the CACC.
The Lady Chargers fall to 7-14 overall and 4-8 in conference play.
Dominican opened the match with a 25-14 win in the opening set but the Rams bounced back in the second to tie the match 1-1 after a 25-21 victory.
Dominican took a 2-1 advantage after they topped the Rams 25-20 in the third set. Jefferson forced a decisive fifth set after defeating Dominican 25-22 in the fourth frame.
In the fifth set, the Rams used a 7-2 run to extend their lead on their way to a 15-11 win to close out the match.
The Lady Chargers were led by Elizabeth Perez who recorded a team-high 16 kills while picking up nine digs while Layla Shipley added 12 kills.
Alexandria De Iasi added eight kills, nine digs, and three total blocks. Savannah Tody picked up a team-high four block assists qhile adding one solo block for five total blocks. Tody also added seven kills, five digs, and one service ace.
Setter Kaeden Sanstead had a match-high 43 assists while adding 17 digs. Delaney Ott finished with 16 digs while Haile Comeau led the team in digs with 23.
The Lady Chargers return to action next Wednesday when they visit Caldwell University.
