SANSTEAD RECORDS 2,000th CAREER ASSIST AS LADY CHARGERS SWEEP SEASON SERIES OVER COUGARS
Caldwell, N.J. (11/12/25) The Dominican University New York women's volleyball team swept the season series over CACC north division opponent Caldwell University by a score of 3-1 at the Newman Center.
Dominican improves to 8-14 overall and 5-8 in conference play after the win.
The Lady Chargers edged the Cougars 25-23 after the first set and CU bounced back to even the match at 1-1 with a 25-20 victory in the second set.
Dominican finished off the third set on a 15-7 run as they took a 2-1 advantage. The Lady Chargers closed out the victory after taking the fourth set 25-14.
Junior setter Kaeden Sanstead recorded her 2,000th career assist in tonight's win after a 43 assist performance which was a match high. Sanstead becomes the fourth player in program history to record 2,000 career assists.
Senior Elizabeth Perez recorded a team-high 16 kills while also leading the team in digs with 15. Senior Savannah Tody added 13 kills while picked up two solo blocks and one block assist.
Senior Kylie Flynn picked up 11 digs while Alexandria De Iasi had a team-high four service aces while adding seven kills and four digs.
The Lady Chargers return home this Saturday for the regular season finale as they host Post University on Senior Day at 12:00 PM.
