Philadelphia, Pa. (9/27/25) The Dominican University New York men's soccer team were defeated by CACC opponent Thomas Jefferson University this afternoon on Ravenhill Field in Philadelphia, Pa.
Dominican falls to 1-5-2 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
DU goalkeeper David Arteaga suffered the loss while TJU goalkeeper Jr Sexton picked up the win and made five saves.
The Rams scored one goal in the first half and picked up an insurance goal late in the second half to help secure the 2-0 win.
Parker Smith scored the first goal of the game in the 42nd minute. Gavin Dunlop and Diego Guzman picked up the double assist.
Guzman scored the second TJU goal and picking up the double assists were Michael Cancelliere and Seasn Stackhouse.
The Rams held the edge in corner kicks while the Chargers held the edge in shots 14-13.
Nichlas Thulin Kamfjord led the Chargers in shots with seven, recording three on goal. Matheus Xavier took three shots while Oscar Chazalet added two shots.
The Chargers return to action Wednesday when the calendar turns to October as they visit Post University.
