WOMEN'S LACROSSE DEFEATS STAC TO EXTEND WINNING STREAK
Orangeburg, N.Y. (4/14/25) The Dominican University New York women's lacrosse team extended their winning streak to 12 games after defeating the Spartans of St. Thomas Aquinas College this afternoon on O'Brien Field.
Dominican, the #24 ranked team in the Division II IWLCA Coaches Poll, improves to 13-1 overall.
The Lady Chargers got off to a quick start with 13 goals in the first quarter and didn't look back as they closed out the 22-2 win.
Madelyn Grella had recorded a team-high 11 points on six goals and five assists. Grella recorded 10 of her 11 points in the first quarter.
Grace DeStasio scored five goals while picking up four draw controls. Caitlin Costello and Erica Ortiz each scored two goals and recorded two assists. Ortiz finished with a team-high five draw controls while Costello picked up two.
Ellie Brouwer also scored two goals while Josie Lettieri, Jordana Tomasetti, Lea Henke, Payton LaVallee, and Gianna Longobucco all scored one goal.
Jenna Rigo picked up four ground balls and caused three turnovers while Sydney Strohmayer added three ground balls and two caused turnovers. Erin Carr finished with four ground balls, three draw controls, and three caused turnovers.
Goalkeeper Kristinamarie Kaszovitz started in net for the Lady Chargers and picked up her 13th win on the season.
Emma Crater saw 14:34 of game action, Kathryn Ehrlinger saw 17:25 of game action, and Dynastee Ramos played the last 9:05 and recorded one save.
The Lady Chargers return to action this Thursday afternoon when they host D'Youville University.
